The LAHS girls’ soccer team remained undefeated in district play after posting a 6-1 win over Moriarty. Los Alamos got on the board early scoring three goals in the first twelve minutes of the the game. Alix Hailey played a quick free kick to Katie Hopkins for the first goal of the game. Alissia Haagenstad picked up the next two assists feeding Hailey and Hopkins. The score was 4-1 at halftime after Hailey assisted Alyssa Parker and Moriarty converted a loose ball on the Topper goal line. The Toppers had two more goals in the second half when Hailey hit a bullet from the outside followed by a Parker converting a cross from Preslie Coffey. The midfield and defense stifled the Pinto attack most of the game due to quick play from Hopkins, Haagenstad, Coffey, Kaya Krantz, Valeri Li, Vianey Terrazas, Amy Littleton and Shelly Doyle.
The Toppers play their final district game away Thursday against Pojoaque High School at 3pm.
