The Hilltoppers brought out the broom in Espanola with a clean sweep. Block and Pound ball led the way with 19 Blocks for points and 35 Kills from the aggressive front row. Los Alamos has yet to put together a full match this season but continues to showcase its talents each time they step on the court. The Hilltoppers started each set a bit slow and then went on runs to secure each set.
Michaela Gonzales and Ariel Edkin each had 3 aces from the service line while Natalie Gallegos and her new standing serve added 8 points on service and Ariel Edkin added 9 points from the service line. The Hilltoppers only missed 5 serves in the 3 sets, a point of emphasis for the team. The back row of Swensen, Maestas and the battery of Mendez and Atencio only had 4 dig errors all evening keeping balls in play for Olivas. Next up for the Toppers is Taos this Thursday at home as they celebrate Dig Pink.
