The Hilltoppers fired out the gate in every set. Jumping to large leads and never giving them up. In sets 1 and 2 they suffered from a couple of lapses in execution and allowed the Tigers to claw back into the game. In set 3 Los Alamos jumped out and never looked back, less some hitting errors in set 3 they hit on all cylinders. Elise Olivas played a near perfect match commanding the floor. Olivas also excelled from the service line with 8 points on serve in 13 attempts with only one service error.
Natalie Gallegos led the way with kills again with 20 as Olivas added 5 of her own and Schmierer, Melton, Edkin, Gonzales and Nadia Gallegos added 13 more. The Tigers did not put up a tremendous amount of attacks; however, the Toppers had 11 blocks for points in the match. Strong back row play from Swensen, Atencio, Maestas and Aguilar solidified the win. Los Alamos will return home to outright clinch District Friday night with a win against Pojoaque and finish 8-0 in District.
